As a result of increasing numbers on site Ferro Design were employed by this European client over a two phase project to improve the servery and the flows within it and then to re-site the coffee and deli bar providing an increased dining facility for both staff, European and International visitors.

Part of the brief was to recycle where possible. Some of the existing back bar counter and granite was retained for re-installation. In addition a new recycling system was introduced. Where possible environmentally conscious products were used e.g. recycled crushed glass panels and rubber flooring.

To give the service counters a new identity and to distinguish the different stations from each other a mix of gloss and matt materials and back lit glass panels were used. New signage was installed both over counter and at the entrance.

The increased numbers meant that the dish-wash and tray clearing system needed to be reviewed. The changes have lead to speedier tray clearing, better ergonomics for the catering staff and DDA compliance.
